The possibilities are pretty endless when it comes to what we will be seeing with the Galaxy S3. And while we have covered the possibilities with what hardware may make its way to the Galaxy S3, way have only briefly touched on the aesthetic side of the phone, which is something that a lot of people weigh heavily when making the purchase. The Galaxy S3 will probably be the slimmest of the Galaxy phones yet and more than likely will make the iPhone 5 look pretty outdated and bloated.

LTE technology would also be a plus. Most people agree by now that LTE is the way of the future in terms of networking, and a lot of major providers are currently beefing up their LTE network. If Samsung were to integrate some of the new technology for the Galaxy S3 with its LTE technology, it would be the first of smartphones to do that.

Also, it is no secret that Apple has been pushing their cloud service on us(possibly a little too much). Samsung has taken a different route and has not given the technology the attention that most people would say it deserves. Samsung Galaxy S3

The picture this time is similar to that of what we previously covered, only this time around it has a far different date. A shop in London has a peculiar advertisement that shows a Samsung phone and on it, and the text “Coming 30/3/2012”. That would put us just a few short days away from the announcement of the Galaxy S3, which is far sooner than just about everyone has speculated. However, there is really very little here to actually confirm their claims. The store that the advertisement was hanging out of isn’t even affiliated with Samsung, meaning that it is likely just someone looking for attention and some exposure for their business.

With the 30^th just a few days away and nothing heard or confirmed from Samsung, this is almost certainly a hoax. However, it does allow us to revisits the other picture, which it seems to give credence to. Next to a release date of March 30^th, it would seem like what the other picture predicted (May 22^nd) would be a lot more reasonable and plausible. However, there is still really nothing in terms of concerte evidence that a May 22^nd release date is true; we will just have to wait and see what else the SG3 rumor mill will pick up.

Galaxy S3

The picture first surfaced at Geek.com, where the picture was put on display along with some commentary on it. The picture by itself is not particularly interesting or ground breaking, but when looking at the screen you can see a small snippet of some very revealing text which reads: “Watch a Live Broadcast of the Galaxy S III Unpacked Event”. The text was a part of what appeared to be a calendar entry- and the date? May 22^nd.

If this is the case, this puts the release date of the Samsung Galaxy S3 just a little less than two months away. It would also put it at the beginning of the summer season, something that a lot of people would view as a wise business move.  But more importantly, it would almost certainly put it in front of the release date of the iPhone 5, as almost everyone can agree that we are going to see that in the late 3^rd quarter or early 4^th quarter of this year.

To be honest, it would not be too difficult to make this image up yourself. It is entirely possible that the site releasing it is doing it for coverage, or a prankster submitted a photoshopped picture simply for some laughs. However, May 22^nd would make a lot of sense- we know that the release is soon and that it would be a wise move for Samsung to release it ahead of Apple and their iPhone.

The Leaked Samsung Galaxy S3 Picture

We don’t need to go on more about the speculated quad-core processor for the Galaxy S3, but there is still a lot left in terms of hardware to think about. The design for the Galaxy S3 is supposed to be exactly what makes up a good smartphone- sleek, sexy and very thin. This will be interesting to think about as trimming down on the overall width of the phone can be difficult when you need to beef up the battery to make way for more capable processing power.

One aspect of the Galaxy S3 that we haven’t much covered is the amount of memory it is going to have. Most rumors are in agreement that it is going to be sporting 2 gigs of RAM with internal memory of either 16 or 32 GB, depending on how much money you are willing to shell out when it is released. The phone should also be capable of supporting up to 64GB of internal memory by way of a MicroSD card.

Corning Gorilla Glass

The next Galaxy should come prepared with the latest generation of Gorilla Glass, and will feature a 4.7” screen that is displaying in a full 720P resolution. Needless to say, if the Galaxy S3 has some of the things mentioned here, it is going to be an exciting year for Samsung fans. And although it has a lot to live up to (the Galaxy S2 is widely regarded as one of the best smartphones ever), it is already shaping up to be a big hit.

Why you should buy the Galaxy S3:

The Samsung Galaxy S3, like the iPhone 5, does not have a formal release date as Samsung is keeping their lips sealed until the right time. However, if Samsung were to stick anywhere close to their release schedule from previous Galaxy phones, then we are going to get it far sooner than the iPhone. And if that wasn’t a good enough reason to buy this phone, then the fact that if it were to follow the pricing from previous Galaxy phones, then it is almost certainly going to be the cheaper alternative to the iPhone 5.

Why you should buy the iPhone 5-

It is tough to bring up hardware in the debate between these two phones as so far we have nothing but speculation, but it is entirely possible that the iPhone 5 may be sporting one of the best displays ever seen on a smartphone, thanks to an improved version of the Retina display we saw on the new iPad. The battery and the screen are also expected to get a much needed upgrade from the iPhone 4S, although the same could be said about the Galaxy S3. Finally there is the question of SIRI; with no sign of an Android-powered voice activated search assistant like SIRI, this could be something that attracts people to the iPhone, although quite a few are disappointed with the limited capabilities of the software.

Which are you getting?

Naturally, the Galaxy S3 will replace the S2 as the flagship smartphone from Samsung, and will be the phone to take on the mighty iPhone 5. And just like Apple and the iPhone, Samsung has given us very little information on the matter, and as such we still don’t have an official release date for the phone. Having said that, there are a lot of rumors about the release date being not too far away, with a possible announcement in April and a release date in May. So far any news and announcements from Samsung will be made via their Twitter account, and you are free to go view the history of everything they have announced through it- it’s not much.

If the rumors for the Apple iPhone 5 being released around September or October were to be accurate, this means that the Galaxy would have the flagship smartphone market almost all to itself for several months. This alone would be an excellent opportunity for Samsung to boost its sales, as people may not be willing to wait that long for an iPhone 5, especially when the hardware in the Galaxy S3 looks as appealing as it does. So will the Galaxy’s release date be able to put an end to the iPhone, or will Apple continue to put up a fight against the Galaxy smartphone?

In the end if you are looking for the latest news from Samsung regarding their upcoming Galaxy S3, it would be best to keep your eyes peeled on their Twitter feed, as all announcements will be made through there.

Though this is just a rumor, it may very well be real. Samsung is one of the major sponsors of the 2012 London Olympics and it would make sense for the S3 to be released on the big stage with international publicity. It’s also a sure thing that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be released before the iPhone 5 the same way the S2 did to the iPhone 4S, stealing the spotlight for many months.

Surprisingly, Samsung didn’t want the world going crazy about the Samsung Galaxy S3 just yet… it had been building up anticipation as Samsung chose not to feature the S3 at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, instead showcasing their unusual Galaxy Beam, a device which features a built in projector.

A flock of rumors have been released as of late as well, unsurprisingly leaking the Samsung Galaxy S3′s specs; a quad-core processor (we would have hoped it would have this) and a Full HD 1080p display. Oh, and I almost forgot, it will be running Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich.

There are speculations online that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will likely have a resolution that is below HD. According to the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will have a 1024 x 600 screen resolution as well as 16:9 aspect ratio intended for its display. Such speculations translate to a more elongated form compared to the current form that we are accustomed to. However, when you are going to base the resolution count of this handset, this would not come near an HD standard yet.

Samsung is known to have been ahead of the competition when you consider the HDTV screen technology. Despite this, we would likely not be seeing such feature on the newest addition of the Samsung Galaxy line which is the Samsung Galaxy S3. These are, however, just rumors running around and these rumors are bound to disappoint us in one way or another if we expect too much out of the Samsung Galaxy S3. All we need to do would be to wait for the official announcement from Samsung and hope for the best when it comes to the features of this handset. If ever Samsung Galaxy S3 is not lucky enough to have the HD resolution then maybe the next versions of the Galaxy line will already have this famed screen feature.

There have been a lot of speculations running around regarding the release date of the new Samsung Galaxy S3. However, the release date is yet to be confirmed.  Only last week, it was reported from Slashgear that there is a good chance that the release of the Samsung Galaxy S3 will coincide with the release of the new version of the famed game application ‘Angry Birds: Space.’ Such speculations have been circulating the internet over the past days.

Mobile experts speculate that Samsung together with Apple are going to enjoy a major market share for smartphones for this year. The new devices as predicted will possibly have quad-core CPU, new designs as well as new operating system. As speculated and expected, Apple is going to be releasing a new iPhone model later this year and Samsung, as its close competition, would surely want to have a release date closer to the launch of the new device from their competition.

It has also been speculated that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be introducing the very first quad core Exynos Chip, HD Super AMOLED screen, LTE support, Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0, an advanced camera sensor and a better camera compared to the Samsung Galaxy S2.

Though previously thought, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will most likely not be announced at the Mobile World Congress, despite the Samsung Galaxy S2 launched at the conference. Though the March 22 date will most likely be the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy S3, expect the actual sale date to be a couple of months after around mid 2012.
